A Ripple of Hope – Bible Training Centers in India

It all begins with an idea.

There are places in the world where hope is scarce… and yet deeply hungered for.

In rural India, there are pastors who carry the call of God in their hearts but have never had the chance to study His Word in depth. There are widows, abandoned by their communities, who quietly raise children in the shadows of poverty. There are children from tribal and low-caste villages who have never heard that their lives carry immeasurable worth.

We believe this is exactly where Jesus wants to plant revival.

And thanks to you, we are taking the next bold step to do just that.

Why We’re Launching Bible Training Centers

At the heart of our ministry in India is a school—a home—for more than 70 children. They are cared for, taught, and loved daily by courageous women and faithful leaders, many of whom have walked their own road of pain and redemption.

But this place of safety and spiritual growth isn’t just for children.

Now, with your help and our partnership with AWKNG, we are launching two Bible Training Centers - one in Raipur and one in Kesinga—to equip local pastors and lay leaders with the training they’ve long needed but never had access to.

This isn’t just about education. This is about multiplying hope.

What These Centers Will Do

Raise up trained pastors to bring the Gospel into unreached villages and tribal regions.

Expand community transformation through clean water, agriculture, and small businesses built on the same ground where Scripture is taught.

Empower local women like Nili, a widow who now serves as head cook and caretaker for the children on campus.

Disciple the next generation—children who will one day return to their villages with truth, compassion, and vision.

By establishing a Bible Training Center on this campus, we can sustain the school, care for the children, and reach communities we’ve only dreamed of touching.

Meet the Faces Behind the Mission

Hiraj grew up in a Christian home but lived far from the peace of Christ. When he encountered Jesus at a small church gathering, everything changed. He now leads a growing church of 40 families in Raipur—but he longs for deeper training to strengthen his flock and mentor others.

Nili, a young widow and mother of four, once handed over her newborn in despair believing she had nothing left to offer. But when she came to serve at our school, she found family, purpose, and a Savior. Today, she shares meals, faith, and kindness with every child she feeds.

These are not just stories. These are people. And you are the reason their futures are changing.

Why These Locations Matter

Raipur is a bustling urban hub in Central India which can be a central gathering point for hundreds of pastors across the region.

Kesinga is quiet, remote, and mostly forgotten. It sits in one of the most underserved districts in India, home to tribal families who face deep spiritual and social isolation.

This Is Your Moment

Your partnership makes all of this possible.

When you support Labor of Love, you're not just giving to a project, you’re investing in real lives:

  • A child learning to pray for the first time.

  • A village pastor receiving excellent biblical training.

  • A widow finding healing and purpose.

  • A whole region being transformed by the love of God and strong spiritual leadership.

This is how revival begins: quietly, humbly, and through the faithful work of love planted in the soil of sacrifice.

Be Part of the Story - We invite you to be part of this movement of hope.

Wells of Hope: Where Clean Water Meets Living Water

It all begins with an idea.

“Water is life. But in these villages, water is often the very thing that steals it.”

When I stepped off the plane in India, I never imagined that muddy, unusable water would become one of the biggest emergencies of our trip.

The well at our children’s campus, the only source of clean water had collapsed. What came out of the pump wasn’t drinkable. It was muck. In 106-degree heat, with 70+ kids relying on that well daily, the urgency was overwhelming.

But that was just the beginning.

The Pond Isn't Enough

During a quiet conversation with a few local pastors, one of them leaned in and asked me, “Pastor, how do we handle persecution?”

It wasn’t a hypothetical.

In his village, Christians aren’t allowed to draw water from the communal well. They’re forced to drink from the same mud holes where animals bathe. No child should have to grow up believing that their faith excludes them from something as basic as water.

I asked him, “What’s the solution?”

His answer was simple and humble:

“If we had a well of our own, on the church property, we’d have clean water… and we would share it with everyone.”

From Desperation to Overflow

We prayed together, believing that God would provide. I didn’t know how or when. But within a week of returning home, two different people approached me—each wanting to fully fund a well.

Two wells. Two miracles.

  • One drilled at our orphanage campus, now flowing stronger than any the drillers had seen in the region.

  • One in that persecuted village, where believers now gather around a shared miracle and pass buckets of water as freely as they share their faith.

These wells have become more than a source of hydration. They are altars of gratitude, places where you can hear prayers shouted joyfully over the sound of running water.

Why “Wells of Hope”?

Because in these remote places, clean water is not just about sanitation — it’s about dignity, safety, and the ability to stand strong in faith.

Each $2,500 well:

  • Provides safe water to entire communities.

  • Protects Christians facing discrimination.

  • Opens the door for ministry and discipleship.

  • Is a visible sign of God’s faithfulness and of your generosity.

You Are the Hero

When you give, when you pray, when you share this story you’re part of this miracle. You’re the reason children drink clean water tonight. You’re the reason believers in remote villages know they are seen and loved.

And this is just the beginning.

Three more villages are still waiting. The need is urgent. But so is the hope.

“Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones… will certainly not lose their reward.” — Matthew 10:42

Will You Help Dig the Next Well?

  • $2,500 provides one well for an entire village or church community.

  • $100 provides clean water access for 5–10 families.

  • Any amount brings us closer to the next well.

Foster Care, Adoption, & FASD Hope for the Journey

It all begins with an idea.

This Is More Than a Mission. This Is Our Family.

For more than 30 years, our lives have been deeply shaped by the foster care and adoption journey. We’ve welcomed six children into our home, five of them through foster care and every single one has taught us something about grace, resilience, and the power of hope.

But it’s also been hard.

Each of our five adopted children has been impacted in some way by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)—a lifelong condition caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. FASD affects everything from emotional regulation and impulse control to learning, social skills, and daily routines. And yet, it’s one of the most misunderstood and misdiagnosed conditions in the foster care system today.

That’s why we’re telling this story. That’s why this work matters. And that’s why you—yes, you can make a difference.

What Is FASD?

FASD is not a label. It’s a reality for thousands of children in care.

Research shows that as many as 70% of children in foster care have been exposed to alcohol in utero—ten to fifteen times higher than the general population. Many of them won’t ever receive an accurate diagnosis. Instead, they’re misunderstood. Mislabeled. Punished for symptoms they can’t control.

What these children need is not just more support—but the right kind of support.
That’s where you come in.

A Glimpse Into Our Story

One of our children, diagnosed with multiple overlapping conditions, amplified by an inability to regulate emotions. We were told he needed “more discipline.” What he really needed was understanding. FASD was affecting how his brain processed sensory input, stress, and even basic transitions.  It was a long difficult journey of seeking help, moving forward, falling down, finding support, and lots of prayer.

We learned that you don’t erase FASD, but you can build a new story around it—a story of hope.

What We're Doing Through Labor of Love

We’re now using our experience to serve other families, caregivers, and churches. Through training, resources, and outreach, we’re working to:

  • Equip foster and adoptive parents with FASD-informed strategies

  • Advocate for integrative care—including trauma-sensitive therapies and complementary support

  • Create a support network that understands the unique journey of families affected by FASD

  • Empower educators and churches to see the child behind the behavior

We also speak and train both in the U.S. and abroad, bringing the message of healing and practical help to communities who often don’t even have the language for FASD.

“When people know better, they do better. We believe churches, families, and communities can be equipped to walk with these children in hope—not fear.”

This Is About More Than Awareness. It's About Action.

Children with FASD are more likely to experience:

  • Placement disruptions

  • School failure

  • Misdiagnosis and mistreatment

  • Incarceration, homelessness, or addiction in adulthood

But with early intervention, structure, and the right tools, they can thrive.

We’ve seen it.

We've watched our children become gentle leaders, gifted artists, protectors of the vulnerable, and joyful worshippers—not in spite of their challenges, but through them.

How You Can Help

When you support Labor of Love, you’re helping families like ours—and hundreds more—receive the tools, truth, and support they need to navigate FASD and foster care with hope.

Blog Post Title Four

It all begins with an idea.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
